Schism - Full Tabletop game

Schism is a tabletop game I've been making fro more than a year now, it's the first project that I have so much creative freedom and influence. Chris Shepperson from Half Wing Games, the creator, choose me to create his vision for this entire game, was a pleasure to work with him creating Schism, it push me to learn new things to have a better result on the game.

Hope you like the result as much as I did.
Feedback will be appreciated

After choosing the main typo for the logo, I started with the design around it, because it was a tabletop game focused on the fantasy and "The other side" of "Life", we wanted to show that kind of magic and mysticism in the logo.

Final result on the logo, after many changes of colors and many revisions, this is our result, this marked the style for the entire game that we were about to create.

Cards, here we were considering the option to add illustration to each card, after many talks we decided to leave the illustrations aside for a future expansion, probably to be as a reward on the kickstarter campaign.

Card back, this were the first sketches for it, we wanted to emphasize the magic touch on it with some ornaments for it's design.

Card back, In the first talks we thought of having the logo of the game in each card back, but it was kinda repetitive, so we decided to use the circle inside the logo as a secondary logo for the game, very happy with this result!

This character was super fun to start witht he sketch, deciding if we wanted a gargoyle or something different to him be crouching on.

After some color iteration you can see we added the wings, he was missing that kind of mysticism, even the position of the wings were important to us to share more of his personality.

Here you can see that the little demon was a late addition to the main sketch, and on the lighting, the book was our focus, showing the important of the source of wisdom for The Scholar

Board - Because this game was directed to show a war between the "Life" side and "The Other Side" we wanted to show that on the board and using the mechanic that the player move from one side to the other, we made a mirror of the top view of the city.

Love the type of view we decided for this board, not an entirely top view to give a little more of depth to the board and not to have a flat design on our board.

Illustration - Box art, love this one a lot, It was a big challenge decide what to illustrate, because it's one of the first contact that the potential player has with the game and it has to make a great impact on them to pick up the game from the shelves

First sketches for the box art, trying some different approach to the illustration, the we decided that the more basic side view encounter by this 2 characters was the ideal option for the box.

Creation process - the lighting on this illustration was a challenge for me, try to manage different point of lighting without losing control of it wasn't easy, but I like a lot the final result!
